About the Artist

Liz Allen never tires of playing in mud. For a few decades, (we won't say how many...) she has blended themes of nature, connection and vibrance in all of her art, from her photography to her pottery. She often intertwines mediums; hand painting or carving thrown pottery, or turning her nature photographs into watercolor-inspired wallpaper. Using her background in chemistry, Liz formulates spectacular variations in her glazes, often using a multi-step glazing and firing process for one-of-a-kind results. All of Liz's pottery is made by hand, glazed and fired in her studio in Minnetrista, Minnesota.

In addition to pottery and art, Liz owns & operates a successful photography business, specializing in seniors, commercial and family photography.
